It’s early Sunday morning, and not yet hot. I will not go to church, but instead will take my hound dog to the park. But first I will read this chapter and feel grateful for Garrison Keillor, his stories, humor, and truth. I bet that’s how people felt when they listened to Mark Twain, or heard Chopin play.
"I chose women doctors, knowing that women have to be smarter to get ahead in medicine." Just love that line! That attitude is called making a distinction - a facet of our lives (with all its electronic distraction) is almost ancient. Thank you for your stories and your love of life.
Enjoyed your sermon. I’ll be back, Lord willing, for the next one. This coming from a retired pastor/chaplain that rarely darkens the door of a church congregation anymore. You are a blessing.
A gift to all of our hearts and souls!
Thank you thank you I loved every word!
I love the book, as does my wife. So much that I sent one to my sister up in U.P.
